to help you photograph special children You will
need Acrobat
Reader to open these files (a free program from Adobe). Photo Tips These tips are a very brief summary of photographic considerations when photographing children with special needs. This "short list" of tips will give you an idea of various things to consider before and during a photographic session with a child who has a disability or serious illness. This list is by no means complete. You will find more extensive guidance in Photographing Children with Special Needs, a book available from this website. The Accreditation Study Guide is also an excellent source of valuable information, a step by step guide of setups and techniques taught in the SKPA Accreditation Clinics. Interview Form The most important items on the "photo Tip List" is the pre-session interview with the parent and the child. Verbal communication with the child may or may not be possible, but just getting to know the child and speaking with the parent will be a valuable asset and contribution to a successful outcome. |
