Letter from our secretary Alison Miniter:

Dear Fellow Workshop Attendees (long past and recent),

I am writing you on behalf of Special Kids Photography of America to let you know you are still eligible to fully complete your SKPA accreditation (no matter when you took the workshop).

Some changes have occurred in the last year that may interest you. To encourage people to submit their work for accreditation there is now a pre-screening process available. This is a voluntary submission of images. You can submit your images for evaluation, the first four are free, additional images are $15 each. The images will be professionally evaluated and critiqued. This process will give you a good idea if your images are up to SKPA standards and if not, advice is provided for what could be done to improve them.

McKennaPro Labs has generously offered to print all final submissions at no charge to the applicant! The accreditation process is covered in your workshop fee, so there is little cost involved in completing your accreditation.

After June 30, workshop attendees will no longer be listed on the website, only accredited photographers will have their name and contact info displayed. Please consider obtaining your accreditation today. The more photographers we have accredited the better we can serve special children and their families.

Information on accreditation can be viewed at http://www.specialkidsphotography.com/accreditation.htm

Criteria for images is at www.specialkidsphotography.com/standards.htm

Information on image critique http://www.specialkidsphotography.com/critique.htm

If you have any questions about the accreditation process or image review, please contact us at: info@specialkidsphotography.com

Sincerely, Alison Miniter

NEXT WEBINAR: Don't miss upcoming webinar by Marathon Press. Sign up for Apr 27 (only $15)

Call for YOUR images of Special Kids
Our next webinar hosted by Marathon Press will be on the subject of wheelchairs and children with cerebral palsy. We would like to share your images of special children who may fit into these categories. We will also be discussing dwarfism, amputation and sundry other topics to wind up our special series with Marathon. Catch the previous webinars in their archives. These instructional webinars are very informative and will help solve a lot of questions for photographing any child, not just one with special needs. The $15 price of admission also helps SKPA because of Marathon's generous donation to our organization. Thank them by using Marathon's wonderful products.
